PPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. The center is licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) for eligible children to receive continuous medical care in a non-residential setting. PPEC is a day treatment program that provides quality skilled nursing care, education, and custodial needs for children.
These services provide a less restrictive, cost-effective alternative to expensive hospitalization or home health care
Pediatric Nursing Care, Daily Meal Program (Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack), Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Educational Programs, After School Program, Educational and Recreational Activities (Art, Music, etc), Transportation, Social Services, Physician on Call, Parent/Caregiver Education
Children from birth through age 20 with medically complex conditions that require continuous care including but not limited to:
Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Seizure Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Congenital Heart Defects, Muscular Dystrophy, Prematurity Complications, Tube Feedings, Chronic Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Tracheostomy, Diabetes.
PPEC Services are covered by Medicaid once recommended by the child’s pediatrician through a prescription or letter of medical necessity.
We also accept insurance and private pay.
